In the holidays i got to go with my dad to the south island.
It all started around 11 o'clock when i climbed into the big red Maskill truck an started my long and exciting journey to wellington, where the ferry would be waiting. Finally after a bit of a wait we slowly drove onto the ferry that was going to take us the south island. The ferry trip was about 3 hours long. When we got to Picton we started another journey down to Kaikoura. We stayed at Kaikoura on Sunday night. The motel and restaurant was really cool it was one of the best things on the trip. In the morning around 6am we stared to make our may to the earthquake affected Christchurch. We had couple of deliveries and pick ups there and then went down to Ashburton. Once all the jobs were done we started to come back up to Picton where we would stay the night there. In the morning about 10:30 we drove onto the ferry again to come back to palmy.
My favourite parts about the trip were:
- Seeing the seals at Kaikoura
- Staying the Kaikoura on Sunday night
- Gong o the ferry
- Seeing the little lambs everywhere
This was something i was going to remember for my whole life.
